About The 106
The 106 is a welcoming east–west connector through the heart of central Indiana’s most vibrant suburbs. Starting in Zionsville and stretching through Carmel and nearly to Geist Reservoir in Fishers, this well-maintained streetside paved path offers an inviting way to explore the region on foot or by bike.
The trail follows 106th Street, providing a comfortable route for walkers, runners, and cyclists of all skill levels. It’s lined with mature trees, peaceful neighborhoods, and open green spaces that create a calm, suburban escape just minutes from the bustle of city life. As it crosses major corridors like US-31 and Keystone Parkway, the path remains safely accessible, connecting residents and visitors to parks, local shops, and nearby trail systems.
You’ll cross the White River on the picturesque Bur Oak Bridge. The trail intersects the Monon and Nickel Plate trails and is part of the HamCo Hubway system. It also links to the Big Four Trail through a connector trail along Zionsville Road.
Whether you’re taking a leisurely weekend ride, logging training miles, or enjoying a sunset stroll, The 106 offers a continuous, scenic way to experience three connected communities.
