Did you know that most bicycle crashes and injuries are not caused by cars, but by the cyclist losing control of their bike? Washington Township Parks and Recreation has partnered with the Hendricks County Health Department to provide young cyclists with the tools for success and an opportunity to learn the skills to keep them safe on their bicycles, from the sidewalks to the trails. The parks’ first bike rodeo includes a skill course, helmet and safety gear giveaways, and a certificate of completion for each participant.
